A shadow lies over the once-bucolic community of Hagsbuck. Neighbor distrusts neighbor. Strangers are shunned. Former friends act oddly. Inhuman silhouettes are seen loping across distant farm fields. Rumors of murder and worse are in the air.

A Chaotic priestess has revived the cult of a forgotten godling of the Old World. The cult has spent the last year quietly taking control of the isolated farms, mining camps, and fur trapper’s huts that dot the countryside around the village of Hagsbuck. Now they are ready to take control of Hagsbuck village itself.

Cult of The Morach is an homage, remix, and in no way official update of the classic D&D adventure, Against The Cult of The Reptile God. Inside you will find:

  • Simple procedures for investigating the village of Hagsbuck and gathering clues.
  • An adventure timeline describing how and when events will unfold if the PCs don’t intervene.
  • A Cult Clock that ticks down to unexpected encounters as the PCs investigate the strange goings on in Hagsbuck.
  • Maps of Hagsbuck and the surrounding countryside.
  • 4 Factions in tenuous equilibrium - ripe for disruption by a party of adventurers .
  • 3 dungeons to explore.
  • 8 pre-generated characters.
  • 8 magic item cards.
  • Endless lists of the personal treasure of every villager and where to find it.*

*that’s a joke. If you know, you know.

Monsters and pre-generated characters are written for GLAIVE, but are widely compatible with other OSR type games. The adventure itself is system agnostic.

Would it be possible in the future to put the character cards and magic cards into Zip files to make it easier to download?

That . . . is a very good idea. haha!

OK... Did you just do that or was I just horribly early on something you did? Anyway, love the ruleset and modules and love Atomic Robo. Now to make a simplified version of AR that doesn't run on Fate. ;-)

I just did it ;D

THANK YOU!!

Fate Accelerated works amazing for Atomic Robo. I wish we'd known about it when we did the RPG.

Whatever you do, something more narrative and with a meta-currency will probably capture the feel better than a traditional D20 system. The lighter the rules the better
